I recently obtained KV4P hardware, and on a whim decided to plug it into the Android based head unit I installed in my truck. While the KV4P app does work, it doesn't play very well with this particular head unit, and doesn't pick up the gps. On the other hand, aprsdroid works extremely well, and the NA7Q edition has support for offline maps. Definitely a 'warrents further investigation' arrangement.
